I spent 15 years in the beauty industry teaching people how to reverse aging and maintain a healthy, youthful appearance. As a cell biologist, I was interested in the mechanisms of aging and fascinated by natural ingredients which counteract the everyday damage we face. Pollution, stress, poor diet, medications, illness and alcohol are just a few of the everyday assaults our bodies face. The abundance of vitamins and minerals found in whole foods can help to halt damage and support our bodies' natural ability to heal itself. By eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, we can flood our tissues with antioxidants and other micronutrients, slow aging, and reverse or reduce the severity of illness and chronic disease.

Eating plenty of plants everyday is my favourite form of self-care and self-love. I have been using these meals to transform my body for over 6 years. During this time I've lost over 80 pounds, lowered my cholesterol, blood pressure, A1C (a marker for diabetes), and most importantly, I have halted the growth of my brain tumour. I am finally in a body that feels free, ready to run, jump and enjoy every day to the max. I only wish I'd discovered food as medicine sooner.
